Communications

For a long time the branch has struggled to find the right medium and mechanisms to enable adequate communications with members, which was highlighted year after year in the branch annual report.

At the 2018 AGM, two of our members, Marce Quinn and George Scott, took the bull by the horns so to speak, and volunteered to job share the role of communications officers for the branch.  Having attended our communication officers training weekend they have set to work with gusto and enthiusiasum, determined to rectify the situation.  As a direct result we now have a vibrant facebook site, an active twitter account, and are starting up instagram and snapchat usage. 

Perhaps the jewel in the crown however is, for the first time in many years, a regular newsletter which we predominantly distribute in electronic format via email (if your not receiving these check that we have a valid email address associated with your membership via the myUNISON facility - my.unison.org.uk).

Marce and George are always looking for new ideas, artcles they can produce, or even just your feedback, so please do not hesitate in contacting them, either individually via marce.quinn@unison-csh.org.uk and george.scott@unison-csh.org.uk or both of them at communications@unison-csh.org.uk .
